How Rude!

I just got a call from the "Dove Foundation". I have to say I'd been waiting for it, as they've been calling (and not getting me) for weeks; their number/name kept showing up on my Caller ID box. So, I finally looked them up, and found they were a 'family values' group dedicated to taking the sexuality, violence and profanity out of movies, television and video games. Fuck, where's the fun in that? I ask you!?! :freak:

So, anyway...I knew I was gonna take their next call. It just came in a few moments ago, and the caller asked if I was 'the lady of the house'. Omigod...talk about your antiquated phrases. Yeah, I'm a lady...let me get my maid and my butler and prove it. But I digress...

He starts off with the 'this is not a sales call or request for donations, so please don't hang up' and then starts in with the bit on how they're trying to address the profanity, violence and sexuality, etc. So, I interject, "Well, you lost me right..." (CLICK)

No...I didn't hang up on him. HE hung up on Me! :wtf:

How Terribly Rude! He didn't even give me the chance to Finish blowing him off!

The guy was rude from the start. I believe this was just after the election and was I pissed. Don't remember everything I said but I know I screamed something about fascist book-burners.

Christian World View:
Since this game follows the idea of witchcraft and wizardry, this game cannot be awarded the Dove Seal of approval. The whole game is based on the principle that magic is good and only parts of it are evil. But most Christians know that magic is evil. The violence in the game is not that bad. Although I enjoyed playing the game, parents are to be cautioned about the occult elements contained in this game.

Get a police whistle--a good one, not one of those plastic toys. Put in your earplugs, answer the phone, and just as they're getting well into their spiel, take a deep breath and let 'em have it!

Then laugh. Then hang up.
