What is your FAVOURITE stretch of highway?
I love the Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver to Whistler. As the name suggests - it's a beautiful drive. A windy road that curves along the mountains and the coast up into the sky. It can be a little harry in the winter, but spectacular.

1. Same as my least favorite one. I-94 through North Dakota.
I say that because it's the stretch of highway that brings me back to Minnesota.

15. I was on the PCHW last week.
But I, we, my son and I, were down near Laguna Beach in the OC.

I could be persuaded to spent some more time down there.

3. The Kancamagus highway in VT/NH
Not positive on the spelling, but it's a beautiful road. Then again, I've never driven any of the coastal CA roads :)

18. Day or night, good weather or bad,
that is a spectacular drive. I love climbing 70 west out of Denver and coasting through the high plains in CO/UT.

11. Interstate 70 through Glenwood canyon colorado
Yee Haaw! Especially on my VFR 800!

* one of the most scenic sections of roadway in the country,
* one of the last sections of Interstate Highway to be built,
* a construction project that brought never-before-used construction methods to the U.S., and
* one of the great engineering achievements of the U.S.

Drivers going east are not aware of west bound traffic and vice versa, yet the views are stunning and "s" curves are awesome!

14. The A115 (AKA Avus)
Nothing says "home" as finally driving along that former (and - unofficially - current) racing track.
It is still another hour for me to get actually home, but still...

19. 1-75 through Kentucky and Tennesee or in northern Michigan
The mountains in KY and TN are beautiful, and the view on the freeway is good.

Northern Michigan is a beautiful place. We may not have mountains, but we do have some big hills and scenic lakes and rivers. Driving US 31 along the west coast of the state is a very nice ride, from Benton Harbor all the way to the Mackinac Bridge.
