Soooooo, what's the GAY CAR?
Not aiming to create a whole new stereotype or anything; I was just curious. Is there a vehicle that is particularly popular with gay people? Lesbians? I suspect that the correct answer is "No such thing." Feel free to run with that.

I think this is a bid to prove that there is in fact such a thing as a dumb question. Feel free to alert if you're bothered, offended, or otherwise annoyed; I won't be upset if this is locked or removed.

1. For the commoner....the VW Jetta is the supposedly the gayest car.

8. Yeah, one my recent bosses had some dark purple version
He was gay, not that there's anything wrong with that.

2. I've been told that the Subaru Outback was big among lesbians,
but I've been told lots of things. Plus the only woman I know who has an Outback is straight, and no two lesbians I know have the same car. So just going by my own experience, I don't think there are "gay cars."

3. On Queer as Folk they said it was
the Jeep. The other one I read about was the Subaru Outback, or whatever car Martina advertised for.

4. Based on observation of friends and colleagues
and the rather large GLB community where I live, I would say Jeep Liberty in the winter and Mazda Miata in the summer. With requisite little rainbow flag decals, of course :)

6. All you have to do is go to Google
type in "gay car" and you will 'prove' that gay cars do exist :)

7. My Ex-Wife (a lesbian) Had a Plymouth Sundance
But so does The Princess.

I had heard the Mazda Miara referred to as a "gay car". But I think that car choice is no indication of sexual preference. I'm sure that people of all sexual orientations drive VW Jettas, Ford Muastangs, Chevy Suburbans, and even Dodge Ram 3500 crewcabs with dually wheels.

9. In Berlin it's the --
-- train.

Mass transit in the old cities of Europe is how gay men and lesbians get around.
