I'm considering ordering HRC checks.....what do you think?

I joined HRC (Human Rights Campaign) on Nov. 3 this year. www.hrc.org

I finally got my sticker and letter and all that and there is an insert about ordering HRC checks. Since I am always talking about how us straighties need to stand up for the GLBT community and fight with them, I think I should order them.

One version has the slogan "Working for Equality" and the other says "Working for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Equal Rights."

Which should I get? I am leaning towards the second one. I want people to KNOW what it's about dammit.

I live in a very red state. Would you fear any backlash? I honestly don't.

(Comes with optional hemp checkbook cover! LOL!)

I wouldn't send my money to them.

Here we are on the verge of passing a legislative proposal in California essentially legalizing gay marriage and they want to slow down? Doesn't seem right to me.

Well I'm not putting the sticker on my car NOW, nor am I ordering checks from them. That's bullshit.

What other organization that works for GLBT rights can I join that actually WORKS for GLBT rights?
