NYC IS the center of the universe. In the 6 hours I was smooshed in Times Square last New Year's Eve, I must've met people from 30 different countries!

...but Paris and London are easily understandable choices, also. What I can't understand is why any of the others are even on a "world" list when they aren't even truly "world" cities, though any art lover will have a soft spot for Florence.
