The Croaking Crone of all CAPTIONS!!
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 10:14 AM by skip fox

Brit Hume is asking a question:

"Mr. President, isn't it true that the fact we have not yet found any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq does not even imply that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, or for that matter, that they might have them still, either well hidden or spirited away into Iran or, more likely, Syria, and if there were no such weapons, that doesn't mean that Saddam had no programs for WMDs or that he had not gathered scientists with the intention of creating such programs, which is all the same thing, and that there were a great many other good reasons to remove Saddam, who was a terror to his own people and a menace to his neighbors, and that these goals were all stated at the time, and besides, who would really want Saddam back in power . . .?"

W. says, "Gee, Brit, when you're right, you're really right!"."

Brit turns to camera:

"There you have it! When we come back . . . . North Korea. Stay with Fox, for fair and balanced reporting."

3. His desk is devoid of papers, books, pads typical
desk top items. Pretty much confirms that this guy is NOBODY! Dick's desk on the other hand is piled to the rafters with manuals, memos, Haliburton contracts etc.

8. They were probably going for the "clean look" . . . W. so in control
of his world . . . etc. Thus, no papers, no chair. Just phone, flags, pictures, and flowers.

I've wondered if Brit is akin to one of the Heritage Foundation's Trustees

William J. Hume, Heritage Trustee Since 1993
Chairman of the Board, Basic American Inc., San Francisco, California

Hume, the Chairman of the Board of Basic American Inc., a San Francisco-based international food service company, has been an active leader of business efforts to improve Americas educational system. Appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson to serve on the California State Board of Education, he has championed such education reforms as "school choice" and actively promoted economic literacy as the Chairman of the Foundation for Teaching Economics.

A former Chairman of the California Academy of Sciences, he also has served on the boards of the California Council on Economic Education and TEACH America, a Chicago-based organization that promotes school choice. He currently serves on the board of the Center for Education Reform, which also strongly promotes school choice.

I think he sits to the right of Holly Coors, Steve Forbes and Richard Mellon Scaife (also, trustees)

17. The world revolves and time shifts zone to zone.
As some DU'ers turn their minds to house and home;
Others fire their hard-drives, and minds alight,
Seek shift to ride swift CAPTION'S flight.
