8. what exactly is chutney?
I mean does it have a basic ingredient? Like salsa almost always has tomato, onion and chiles, what about relish? What makes it relish?

that's the stuff. The version I scoff is made on Speyside at Baxter's Food Cannery, near Fochabers, Morayshire and it is...delicious.

13. hmm I have some in a jar in the fridge
called Major Grey's Mango Chutney and it basiclly smells like worcestershire (spell?) sauce - that kind of raisin/vinigar brown goo. Bought it for serving with curry, but nobody in the house uses it (most of them don't like my curry either, but that is another issue) So I was just curious what made it chutney. Of course I guess I should spend a few hours with google but I am falling asleep now!
