I just repaired my well- first real shower in a week!

I had to pull the pump up 150 feet to fix a short in the wiring- that was not fun! It went out last monday and I was forced to take cold showers from water jugs all week til I had time to get on the pump. I missed the good old morning showers!

The good thing is, I am on the same aquifier as the George Dickell distillery- which is close by. The water is ICE cold and only has 20 ppm-

Now I am awaiting the next home repair adventure!

1. the shower is a marvelous thing

I can identify with that. When we renovated the master bath, our shower was out for a week! It was horrible! I never appreciated what a wonder the shower is--a place where water can hit the floor and cause no damage. The temperature of the water can be adjusted. An amazing thing, showers.

2. I Had To Do That Once Myself

My Aunt's pump went out and my cousin and I had to haul it up out of the well to replace it. Not a whole lot of fun.
