Is it true that some students are taking Alzheimer's medicine?
There is a rumor going around my College that people are taking Alzheimer's drugs for memory on tests.

I heard someone on the radio talking about it recently and I am curious if this is a "urban legend" or the truth.

1. Students need to make themselves better products for Corporate America
Does not surprise me. We Americans are killing ourselves in slavery to the Corporation. So what if this drug screws up our brains....corporate America will throw you away when you are no longer useful.

4. Hell, have you ever looked at what drugs are pushed over the counter?
It's all Industrial Drugs to make you capable of going to work, but none of it really cures you. In fact, a lot of doctors think that cold medicine is entirely counterproductive if you use it to avoid resting (as most do).

But when a worker droid breaks down, they just slap another few miligrams of pseudoepinephrine into it, and back onto the assembly line.

3. I believe it is Adderall (sp?), an ADD drug
Saw it on Good Morning America, I believe.

ADD meds are stimulants, which are supposed to increase focus.
According to the report, it is being used at the college level, illicitly.

They interviewed a law student who freely admitted using it consistently w/out a scrip until he found a doc who would prescribe it for him.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2004 -- Kevin Ngo, a Baylor University graduate now studying for the law school entrance exam, isn't leaving anything to chance. He is seeking help from a pill that's meant to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

"There is something about Adderall that makes you concentrate, focus and makes whatever you're studying more interesting," he said.
