| Ever listened to Bach's "Actus Tragicus?" It is too beautiful for words. |

'Bach's Actus Tragicus comes as close as any piece of music I know towards piercing the membrane that separates the material world from whatever lies beyond it.' John Eliot Gardiner on the heart-rending symmetry of one of Bach's greatest works. Granta, Jan 9, 2002. http://www.granta.com/extracts/1432

| 2. I'm not familiar with this piece. |
|
Bach is my favorite composer. I think his Mass in B minor is one of the most sublime musical works ever written.

| 5. Ordered it after listening to excerpts at Amazon, got it used, |
|
the version conducted by Gardiner. The excerpts sounded beautiful - on cheap PC speakers.
I don't know how Bach did it.
