Or at leaset Lithonia.

Seriously, my partner developed a brain tumor(he's fine now). Then, we both became victims of the Bush economy, losing both our jobs at nearly the same time. I'm making a third of what I made a couple of years ago and he's making roughly half. But on the plus side, I was insured when they told me I had lupus.

:grr:

Seriously, we're doing better than most- it's just my partner and I, and while we make less than we made then, we both had a very brief period of unemployment. Also, I grew up poor, so I've always been fanatical about puttin money away, staying out of debt, and living within our means. I DO feel lucky to have health insurance, and so far the lupus hasn't done too much to me. But for about eighteen months there, I wasn't much fun to be around.

What's new with you?

14. a little of this, a little of that.
:) You haven't been around since late in 2001, have you? I'm trying to remember.

Very sorry to hear about your problems of late, especially the lupus and the brain tumor. Glad you're back.

15. Thanks!
My partner hasn't had a recurrence of his illness, so we're good. It was in a very accessible place. With each month that goes by without a recurrence, his likelyhood of remaining healthy increases. As for the lupus, so far, I seem to have a mild case. Lupus is one of those diseases that flares up and then receeds. My rheumatologist says that he has a number of patients who go years between flares. Hopefully I'll be in that group!
