"The Biggest Losers".. Am I the only one disgusted by this "show"?

I have not watched it, but the promos made me ILL.. The whole "Survivor"-"Reality Show" thing has jumped the shark..BIG TIME

How sad a people we are, if we get "entertainment" out of humiliating overweight people in the guise of a "game"..

The sickening truth is that , most people who are overweight (like me:cry:) cannot afford personal trainers, fancy spas, dietitians, so they are so desperate, that they will humiliate themselves on TV, in oprder to get the help they should have ready (and affordable) access to..

Boycott this dumb show:(

this wouldn't be it. Who the hell wants to sit around and watch people,whine,diet,and exercise?

not willingly, mind you. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought, and it does not make fun of the overweight people. The idea sounds very dumb & degrading, you're right.

The "winners" willl be the thinnest...the LOSERS will be just what they started out as...fat and too lazy to LOSE that weight...

I have no business defending the show, just saying it wasn't quite as degrading as I thought. End of topic for me.

I never got into 'reality' shows, and heard a report today on the radio that scripted shows are making a comeback (case in point: Desperate Housewives, Lost, and Joey have all been ordered up for the entire season.)

6. Saw a promo for this at the movie theatre last night.

This thing is definitely sending out some ugly messages. I won't be watching. Not that I actually watch TV much at all anymore. It just goes worse and worse every year, it seems.
