I want to thank our local Fox affiliate

for not cutting into the Boston-New York game to show the St. Louis Cardinals, you know, the team only two hours away, something they could have done. Obviously, we are all supposed to care SO MUCH about Boston and New York no matter where we live. I mean, why would people in the MIDWEST want to watch MIDWESTERN TEAMS play for the pennant? Why, I ask, why?

The truth is, things here are run by Cubs fans, and they're still pissy, which also explains why the local sports talk radio stations refuse to carry the NLCS.
