Janeane Garofalo Knows Her Dick!
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 07:15 PM by khephra
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

JG is familiar with the works of PKD! (Just on MR on AAR)

I can't believe science-fiction books I read as a teenager are now part of modern political discourse!

1. Dickhead here, checking in.
Dick is phenomenal fiction. Did you know that a film version of A Scanner Darkly is being filmed. I'm excited, it's a great work, but couldn't they have cast someone other than Keanu Reeves? :puke:

2. Long live Phildickians!
One of, if not the, best writers of the 20th century.
I sincerely hope someday Ubik, Palmer Eldrich, and Maze of Death get made into movies...

3. Doctor Futurity
is just begging for a film treatment. Also Clans of the Alphane Moon. Is Maze of Death the one that really takes place in Kemmerer, Wyoming? It's been a while since I've been through my Dick. I should check it out again. ;)

4. It's hard to know your Dick from memory
Checking out your Dick again should do wonders.

(Here I tell people not to make Moorcock jokes and I make Dick jokes. BAD KEF!)

5. Maze of Death:
tankes place on a planet that is being colonized by 12 people, all of whom arrive independently and have different skills. As the story progresses they learn they cannot trust each other, and that one of them is working behind the scenes to ruin the colony attempt. It (almost) ends with them all killing each other-
but I won't give away the real ending. It's a mind-blower.
Which one was Dr. Futurity again?

8. A little research
has revealed that the one I was think was Maze of Death was, in fact, Time out of Joint.
