Not that I needed reminding why I hate loath and despise all things Bush.
It also ticked me off again, that NOT ONE DEMOCRATIC Senator rose to defend the protests of the black congressional representatives. NOT ONE! That is to the COLLECTIVE shame of us all. Is it any wonder that many black people feel that the Dems take them for granted. As a Jew I was also ashamed that not ONE of the Jewish senators rose to the defense of the black congressional representatives.
For Al Gore and others to be so attached to their precious "rules" showed me that maintaining the status quo was more important than standing up for the rights of the disenfranchised.
It also made me sick to see Tom Daschle and Dick Gephardt stand by Bush. When Daschle said "we have a new president," he was smiling! Had the Supreme Court ruled in Gore's favor don't think for a minute that the pugs would have been as accomodating as the Dems were to Bush! Oh no..they would have come out kicking and screaming all the way. There is no bi-partisanship among the pugs. To them bipartisanship means the Democrats roll over.
