What could make a burned audio CD have no sound?

Due to the kindness of a woman I barely know at all, I received a copy of the recent Joe Jackson/Todd Rundgren show in NYC in the mail today. The CD containing Rundgren's set and the joint encore is fine. When I put in the Joe Jackson set, the computer reads it as a regular audio CD, and it comes up with the list of tracks, as with any other CD. When I play it, however, there's nothing but silence. It plays like any other CD, but there's just no sound at all.

Thoughts?
