Time to play... diagnose my hypochondria!!
:D

So I've got this little bumpy thing on my middle finger of my right hand, on the inside that faces my index finger, about half the size of a dime.

It's like a rash but it's not red, nor even pink... It goes away sometimes if I put Carmex on it, then comes back itching. I obligingly scratch it, and it becomes terribly rough, like alligator skin. Then eventually the raised bumpy bits turn kind of brown and (erg) fall off. It goes away for a while, then comes back again.

It's a tumor, I just know it...! :eyes:

3. Are you right handed?
It's probably just a callus from the way you hold your pen/pencil.

6. Try vitamin E
Poke a small hole in the capsule and rub it over the site for a month at night before you go to bed for a month. I bet it will disappear.
