The "insert" key is not only useless, it's dangerous. I've disabled it on my computer.

10. The OPTION key on Macs is the most useless...

Get a real mouse, with 2 buttons on it, and use a proper contextual menu system, and the OPTION-(whatever) becomes pointless. :P

12. I have to admit I miss the other buttons when I go to the Mac

I use it for all the graphics work, and the windows machine for this.

No scrolling mouse, but a first rate CAD machine.

My eight year old Power MAc is just fine, thank you. I would hazard a guess that it is a far more stable platform and machine than ANY computer out now. It fits like a glove, and is on for ten hours a day, five days a week. I have not had any problems with it other than an un-diagnosable modem problem anbout four years ago. It is not a problem, as we don't access the internet from there. The fax part of the modem works just fine.

Now, if you want to make a non- tax deductible contribution of a newer Mac, feel free. We'd accept.

but it's common in websites and whatnot now, not to mention spanish, whereas Esc has declined in use over the years. F11 was in there simply because F12 is slightly more common, being the last in the row.

37. I use "scroll lock" for my KVM switch.

Hit it twice then hit "1" and it goes to my windows workstation, hit it twice then hit "2" and it goes to the Linux one.

Not useless for me. :)

but anybody who uses vi will tell you that the Esc key is absolutely not useless!
