It's September 15th, what will happen to me this year?
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 10:04 AM by SarahBelle
I have a strange thing with this date. Over the years, all kinds of significant events in my life were on this date. Some good, some not so good, but a sort of a strangely cosmic thing nonetheless. I wonder if anything will happen this year? Probably not, nothing on the agenda yet, but the day is still young. I have a job in the works that I interviewed for, but I don't expect to hear from them for at least another week, but one never knows. Maybe I'll get lucky since today is that day.

Sept. 15, 1986- my first real kiss with a boy
Sept. 15, 1990- first date with the guy who became my husband (first time, time we, uh...you know, but we had known each other and had been friends for awhile prior)
Sept. 15, 1994- found out I was pregnant unexpectedly and then lost the baby several weeks later (really changed my direction and I think messed me up for awhile)
Sept. 15, 1995- due date of my first born son
Sept. 15, 1997- first day of a job for Mr Belle that ultimately changed the course of his career for the better
Sept. 15, 2003- started a friendship with someone who had a surprisingly influential effect on me for the better

Set. 15, 2004- ???

edit: ZombyGrammar correction :P

Have you ever heard of the book..."Celestine Prophecy"? Its a great read...entertaining with some intreging messages. One is that there are no such thing as coincedences.

It looks as though Sept. 15th has brought many positive experiences into your life. :-)

It has meaning for me also...its the day after my BD...:-) The first day starting another year on the planet. :-)

No, I never read it, but I tend to not believe in coincidences either. Not all the things were positive, but all had a profound effect. Sometimes, things can't quite be explained, but still have some sort of weird affect I guess. I try to remain open to things at don't understand even if I'm for the most part a largely practical and pragmatic person. Sometimes it keeps you human to believe in just a little bit of mystery and destiny in life.

My sister in law and brother and law had their 20th yesterday too. Ooops, I forgot until now too, but they never remember anything either, so it's not a biggie.

25. Eat some apples and challah (egg bread) with honey tonight.
It's traditional Rosh Hashannah fare -- for a sweet new year.

Or, we could try this the Jewish Grandmother way:

Well, Saraleh, sit down and have some nice chicken soup.
How long has it been since you've called your Auntie Shirley? She's worried about you, now that you've taken up with...what's he do? Oy veh. Find yourself a nice doctor. Oh, I'm sorry, I promised you I wouldn't meddle in your life so that's what I'm not going to do.
Oh, you're going out? It's OK; I can make other plans. I hear the infomercials are really entertaining this year.
He's honking? What kind of man honks? Oh, you're going out with your girlfriends? Well, I'm not going to judge or anything...but aren't you getting a little too old for that?
Be sure to take a little sweater; I know it's boiling in here, but it's chilly at night.
Have a good time, Saraleh, and I understand if you're too busy to call...even though I gave your father life and without me you wouldn't...oh, I promised myself I wouldn't do this. Feh.

13. I don't know. Now that you're aware of the pattern, you may have jinxed it
Or, I may just be a little too superstitious.

15. That's probably the case.
I didn't even see the pattern until a few months ago. Now it's probably too late and the spell is broken. I'm not really superstitious. I've lived with a baseball fan for over 13 years, so usually I've been hit with some really bizarre ideas of superstition and jinxes that makes this seem completely sane. (He thinks what happens with his penis has some sort of power over the outcome of sporting events. I don't get it.)
