League of Extraordinary Gentlemen review possible spoilers
Saw it this afternoon. Easily the most wretched big budget movie I have ever seen. The plot barely made sense. No, make that it made no sense. The presence of a couple of charismatic actors couldn't save it. It just sucked. And I am pretty generous with movies.

1. No review needed
Previews alone had me muttering "what a P.O.S."

2. As a fan of the comic
I knew it would suck when I heard they had to Americanize it. Tom Sawyer...PFAH!

5. Yep
They're so good at ruining a perfectly wonderful comic, eh?

3. Thanks!
The trailers looked really good. I love Victorian speam-punk type things. It looked pretty cool, but, alas, I should have known it was Hollywood dreck.

4. My husband and son
are seeing that right now. I told him it didn't get good reviews, but he went anyway. Oh, well, at least they didn't pay full price.

6. I had a free ticket to see it ......
....now I feel I got the dirty end of the deal!
I kept looking at my watch hoping either the film would get better or somebody would swoop down in a time machine and take me to the end of it.

I think the thing that really pisses me off about film making such as this, is the fact that they have ruined a title that can't be used for a while.....I mean, if somebody made a truly great version of the same film, they would be forced to use an entirely different
name to disassociate themselves from this POS.
