Well, the new puppy's going potty outside...
but one of the cats left me a present last night. I think I know which one, too.

The dog is GREAT with the cats, and they're immensely curious about him, but won't get too close. The dog just looks at 'em and wonders why they won't play with him.

8. How cute! I want a dog so badly, unfortunately our landlord is evil.
A friend of mine wanted me to dog-sit for his Lopso Apso a few years back, just a wee thing mind you, the puppy, not the friend. Anyways, little did he NOT tell me that the pup was not potty trained. By the end of the two weeks by my instructions, he was going outside on his own.

I might add to the story, it was a very LOOOOOOOOOONG two weeks.

Congratulations!!!

18. good for you...
I'm just watching this guy every minute and taking him outside often to do his business, then praising the hell out of him when he does.

He had been paper trained at his puppy-home, but Dookus don't play that game - ya don't teach a dog to shit in the kitchen. So far he's doing really really well. Every time he wakes up, out the door. Every hour when he's awake... out the door. He goes immediately, gets lotsa lovin', then back inside for more play & sleep. Actually, mostly sleep... this guy's a throw-rug.

4. Congratulations for the outside job well-done
but have you YET moved those sandals from in front of his nose, or have they become his chew toys? :D

6. heheh...
no, he's being exceptionally good. I've left my sneakers and my sandals out, and he goes and grabs a chew-bone or a toy when he wants to play.

It shouldn't be this easy. He's gone potty outside every time except for this morning, when as soon as he got out of his crate, he did a little submissive piddle. I put the leash on, got him outside, and then he let loose with a torrent. He went 7 hours in the crate without peeing.

He's a wonderdawg!

Sorry about the present your cat left you. I can understand the cat's jealousy considering the cuteness of the competition.

you'll have to be posting lots of pics of him in the kitty threads...especially when the cats start thinking he's a bit of alright and a total heater bod for them to sleep on!

11. I think my youngest girl, Molly
seen in my avatar, is already thinking of him as a heating pad. She comes real close to him and shows no concern. I think they'll be sleeping together pretty soon.

22. I have no idea
just really lucky. As soon as I take him out, he goes. Maybe he's just teasing me and he's gonna be a terror later, but he's been here a day now, and only piddled a few "excitement" drops when we first got up this morning.

He's also only chewing on his toys. Either he's really smart, I'm really lucky, or it's all gonna turn horrible shortly. He's going outside, walking on a leash, using his toys.... I KNOW it's not supposed to be this easy.

27. I was talking with a guy who has 2 of these characters
and he said that they were very easy dogs to have.

Not too excitable, don't need much exercise, and sweet to boot.

Have a wonderful time with your precious new buddy!

26. Oh Dook! I love him!!!!
From your closeup pic, I can almost feel how soft he is. I bet he's really warm, too. This sure made my day! Love those big, spongy paws, too.

Poor kitty. I bet if you hug the cat, he may even give you that "you-traitor" look. They'll get over it, though. Soon it will be one big happy furry family.

And you should put him on dogster.

30. I went with Tucker
but now he's chewing a little rawhide stick. It's sticking out of the side of his mouth like a cigar. He looks like a Louie now.

But it's Tucker.
