My Hint-of-Anti-Bush screenname violates AOL Terms of Service
I was told to delete my screenname "BuckMrFush" immediately or risk account termination. Is AOL in bed with Bush?

Not that it matters... I've been trying to cancel AOL for months! They won't let me go--they keep offering me free time instead!

1. I suspect
that it is not the hint of anti Bush, but the hint of profanity. But get rid of aol anyway.

2. They'll.......................
keep offering you free time forever. I went 8 months without ever having an ISP bill a few years ago. I still cancelled because I just hated AOL soooooo much.
As for your screen name............. screw 'em. Let them cancel your account. Call their bluff.

3. Easy way to find out
Change your screen name to KuckMrFerry and see if they object.

AOL's terms of service prohibit "use vulgar language in the creation of a Screen Name". Personally, I'd say your choice of a screen name was vulgar. But there are plenty of other ISPs who don't care about your username, or for that matter you could register your own domain and use whatever name you want.

6. LMAO
The **only** reason why I got with them was because I was in desperate need for an ISP, and I had no money! I've had free service from them ever since March. They will NOT let me leave. I guess they figure I'll give in after a while (for 23.90 a month? HELL NO!).

*grin. Just teasing. I will admit to keeping a disk or two of theirs around just in case some "survival" situation arose and I needed emergency net access...
