New England DUers. What's up with this freakin cold weather? (rant)

It's only mid July but feels like September. Temps in the 40's tonight??? :wtf: This is ridiculous. We deserve more of a summer then one week dammit! I had to build a fire in the woodstove today! :grr:

1. I know... it sucks. I just got the motorcycle's cobwebs blown
out, and was ready to take some road trips... now this?

3. Come to Las Vegas!
It was over 120 in my part of the city yesterday and 118 today.

Some nearby places are even hotter.

That should solve your problem.

4. My thermometer is at the max
It only goes up to 120. It's so hot our propane tank has sprung a leak and now we have to stay in the house with all the windows shut and we can't use the evaporitve cooler. 40 degrees is sounding so good to me now. I'm thinking of filling the bath with icewater and reading in there!

5. Personally, I'm loving it, why you ask?
Because I'm moving this weekend, and the only thing that sucks more than moving in 90 degree weather is moving in 10 degree weather with 3 feet of snow surrounding your Uhaul truck in the driveway of both your leave point and destination.

Bring on the cool weather!

10. It's HELL
It's not hot, but it's hell on earth. You're carrying heavy shit around needless snow corners, over patches of ice, your hands are cold which makes it hard to carry stuff. Nobody, not even your best friends, want to be there. Moving in the snow sucks more than anything else, and I've served 4 years in the Marines!

Now, moving while it's a cool 78 degrees and drizzling, heaven on earth! You are constantly cooled by the rain, your electronics aren't in any danger because the rain is so light, any slight wind amplifys the coolness. You can't go wrong!

Yes, toolfan, I'll make a point of remembering your new name, as a toolfan.

Wish I had some :smoke: to share.

11. It's a San Francisco summer
Dig it.

Better than 98 degrees with 99% humidity, imho.

13. Well true.
I agree. I'd much rather have a cool summer as opposed to a hot and humid one like last year. Is Frisco really this chilly? If so, I may have to rethink my clothing choices for my upcoming trip. At least for this trip I'll have some leisure clothes and comfortable shoes though! :-)
