if it is that size "turd" (where did they get that word?????) then it sure can't be moles are voles, which are about the size of mice. I wonder if you might have gophers? Have you looked at you state university extension service web site? I don't know if your state has a good site; like mine is good on some things, lousy on others, then I start searching neighboring states.

(To stop the rabbits from eating my flowers, I started throwing out carrots for them and fenced the flowers. Theya re so cute but they just aren't happy eating grass, the little sh_ts. )

yuck-yuck. When my neighbor fenced all of his flowers all the bunnies came over to my house. Well I can't stand the way the fences look so I figured out a system, took months, where I learned when the bunnies are eating certain things and put down, remove fences all summer. Usually when a plant is young they love eating it and some they eat all the time. The ones they eat all the time are caged all the time, like purple conflowers. Daylilies are just caged the first month of growth.
