What's the relationship between lo-carb and kidney problems?

What's the relationship between lo-carb and kidney problems?
I've been doing lo-carb and have a slight pain in the kidney area. I had a kidney stone once and I'm praying it's not that again. When I eat carbs, the pain goes away. I don't understand the connection. I like the South Beach diet because it lets me eat more carbs and I hope my kidney will feel better.

Ketones.
Some pass out through the lungs, most go through the kidneys.

You should try the BigJawnn Diet. It's simple, and it's free. What it is not is FAST. You might lose a pound a week on it, but it's safe. Sound interesting?

OK, here it is.
Sensible 2,000 Calorie a day diet. Whole grains, soy protein (either as edemame or "meat analogs" like Boccaburgers) chicken, LEAN pork, fruit, veggies, Curries and other Asian foods, LOTS of water. Cookies and maybe ice cream a few times a week.

And.....

Ride your Bicycle. The more the merrier. I've had time to put in some 70-mile weeks lately, 53 miles in one day.

I've lost 35 pounds since last November, and i quit smoking too (and we all know how THAT will pack the poundage on!)
