I was so stunned when I first saw a samizdat video of the Monks back in the late 80s. It was as fucked up as when I first saw the DEVO film "The Truth About De-evolution" on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert in the mid-70s. Threw me for a loop.


Monks, definitely the best shavey band.
