My future ex, who could care less about politics...
...got to meet John Edwards today.

She's a notary public, and he was staying at the hotel she works at and needed her services. I begged her to tell him that I was phone banking for him this weekend, but she refused, saying she had to remain "professional".

:grr:

2. Well, she's not all that bad, but
there is a reason we're getting a divorce. :-)

3. I just don't see how mentioning it is a big deal
sorry... bitch is my catchall label for women that tick me off. :)

Still... lucky her! But, since you said she doesn't care about politics, I'm sure she didn't care about meeting John Edwards, either.

*sigh*

4. LOL...
My ex was also non-politico, and I can imagine her doing the same thing... What a pisser, huh? :D

Good thing she's "ex" then.

5. I understand her not wanting to get TOO political.
But she could have mentioned that you would be excited that she was meeting him or something like that.

7. She said he was very attractive,
but a little abrasive. I don't blame the guy when he's working, what, 100 hours a week?

9. I know the feeling...
My husband doesn't care too much about politics, either, though he's a Democrat & hates Dubya, also. I wanted to go to the candlelight protest tonight in my area, but it's in a bad part of the city & he was adament about my not going. He can't go with me because he has to go to bed early (he gets up to go to work at 4:30 a.m.). There are no protests going on in my area, which is heavily Republican. I'm very disappointed, but I know my husband has a point. At times I feel stifled, though, because he doesn't share my interest in politics & I feel as though I have to resort to the internet to discuss what's going on & to vent my anger toward this administration. At least he went to see Fahrenheit 9-11 with me (he thought it was great & suggested that my sons see it) & his vote will definitely go to Kerry. :)
