This fuckin guy calling himself an English teacher called up and questioned a letter from a soldier that Randi read on the radio today from some 19 year old kid in Iraq and he's going on about how a 19 year old could not have written that cause he's only 19, and a 19 year old could not possibly be that articulate.

You know somethin, this guy deserve a beat-down. No I'm serious screw being peaceful. First of all a kid, a fucking 19 year old who is in Iraq who is probably there to pay for college writes this letter, and this fucking disgraceful scumbag wants to jump on and say he's fake it's all phony.

Even after Randi claims to know the kid's mother he still presses on.

Well I got news for mistah English teacher here. There are PLENTY of kids who are only 14 even that I knew back when I was that age that could write very well like that. I was one of them. But I won't be displaying any of those abilities in this post because I'm pissed.

Of course you get these yutz English teachers (just SOME I know not all are like that but SOME ARE) like this fucking PUNK that believe that kids who don't express their written ability in the exact same manner as they are trying to force them to do so.

8. Well, of course...

If there's one thing that puts a bug up my ass, it's old crabfaces who complain about how the young people of today are morans. This old lobsterhead went back to school a few years back to make a last stab at having a meaningful career (programming), and the 19-year-old "morans" were blowing me out of the water. Not to brag, but I'm not used to being mentally outclassed; but I just dropped out and let the young people have the run of the place. Couldn't cut it.

It upsets me no end that a school system would even let this guy anywhere near their kids. No wonder they can't write! With this freakin' creepy Freeper handing out grades, they're scared to say anything!!!

there are plenty of posters here on DU who surprise me when they reveal their ages -- not because it surprises me that they're articulate, because I was articulate in my teens too ... but that they're thoughtful and seem to have a pretty good grasp on the 'big picture.' I don't recall having as much of that as I see in our high school and college aged posters here on DU. If fourteen to twenty year olds can fool us around here, why couldn't a nineteen year old guy whose butt was on the line write an articulate letter? Get out -- his students may not write as articulately as a soldier who's scared of having his ass blown off because they're bored with their assignments or because he's a bad teacher ...
