Sax great Noble (Thin Man) Watts has passed away.
I had the pleasure to meet Thin Man on several occasions, and even had the pleasure to perform with him once. His was not a name that you probably have heard very often, but R&B has lost one of the greatest and nicest musicians ever. Noble was perfectly named.

If you get a chance, pick up a recording or two of his work. You've probably heard him many times playing on other artists' albums. He played with Jerry Lee Lewis, Lionel Hampton, Fats Domino, along with countless others.

A bit of Trivia: As a young college kid, he played in the Florida A&M marching band, along with Nat and Cannonball Adderly.

Rest in peace, Thin Man. I remember you.
