4. Yup.
Get 'em both and run 'em both. Gets everything. Then, get SpywareBlaster and stop the crap from setting up shop again.

3. I've used
both Ad-aware from Lavasoft and Spybot Search and Destroy. Of the two I prefere the Ad-Aware as it catches a lot of cookies that Spybot misses. Both are free though and I usually run Spybot first and then Ad-aware.
