Already have the F&G DVD set. Were it more than one season long, it may be the greatest television show of all time.

Just read that Wonderfalls DVD comes out in January.

28. I agree on _Freaks and Geeks_
The release of the DVDs was awesome, and made it where I didn't miss it quite as badly, but I will always be disappointed that it didn't run more than one season. Perhaps my favorite TV show ever... and I will forever regret that I didn't discover it whenever it was new, and thus was "part of the problem, not the solution." I discovered it a couple years after it had been cancelled, on the freakin' Fox Family Channel of all places; I was just flipping through, it caught my eye, and I was hooked.

10. Farscape.
Best Sci-fi television show I've ever seen. The production values were very, very high... and that's what killed it. It was too damn expensive to keep on the air!

Not to worry. Farscape: the Peacekeeper Wars is coming in Oct. to tie up the loose ends. I think this is solely due to internet users and other fans screaming bloody murder when the show got axed.

110. The last two episodes
Winnie ends up working away from where Kevin lives so Kevin decides to go up and see her. He goes there, only to find she’s dating a lifeguard and is uncomfortable with his presence. He subsequently loses his car in a gambling match and is forced to hitchhike home. Before he does so, however, he punches the daylights out of Winnie’s boyfriend. While hitchhiking he gets a lift with this couple and finds Winnie in the same car-she is also hitchhiking. Of course they argue and get thrown out of the car and find themselves stranded. They spend the night in a barn and realize that they are growing up and how their lives have changed. They then go back to their hometown for some celebration

The series ends with a photograph of the whole family and the narrator explaining what happened to each of them. Wayne inherits his father’s family furniture business when Jack Arnold dies two years after the events shown in the final episode. Norma becomes a businesswoman and Winnie goes over to France. When she returns to the US, Kevin and his wife and baby meet up with her.

It is worth noting that Kevin’s father dying two years after Kevin and Winnie go their separate ways is inconsistent with earlier episodes. The narrator says in an earlier episode (which was only two or three seasons before the final episode if my memory serves me accurately) that Kevin’s father is still alive at the time of narration and talks about how Jack Arnold interacts with Kevin’s children –and implies that Kevin’s children are old enough to have a relationship with their grandfather. Yet in the final episode it states that Jack Arnold dies two years after Kevin breaks up with Winnie. This implies that he probably would have died before Kevin had children or, even if Kevin did have children in those two years, they would have been too young to have had a relationship with their grandfather. Trivial inconsistencies but it shows a lack of continuity in the script

As for Sara being a repuke, this mostly stems from the fact that she appeared on some "GOP BABES" list. The thing was was that the list couldn't identify why they thought of her as a Republican, whereas they could with every other woman on the list. There are other people saying that she is a personal friend of Chelsea Clinton. It's nothing but rumors, no way to prove it. Joss Whedon is a huge liberal, so I'm guessing she probably isn't.

60. I agree enthusiastically
It was some of the best TV that has ever been, and that includes the stuff on cable nowadays. I watched it more for Andre Braugher than anyone else, except maybe Yaphet Kotto.

I've been renting them all in chronological order over Netflix. I missed the first two seasons or so before I caught onto the show, and they are every bit as good as the episodes in later seasons.

The episode where Vincent D'nofrio is stuck between a subway train and the platform has got to be one of the best episodes of anything ever shown on television.

one of the most well thought out TV characters ever. Brooding, torn, conflicted. It's no wonder Anrde Braugher won an Emmy.

73. They didn't play that on AFKN
AFKN was, of course, the American Forces Korea Network,

But when I got home, one of the local stations was playing reruns of it. And I'm sitting there about half listening to the "up next" message...what I thought I heard was "up next, Joanie Loves Chagi." I was rolling on the floor laughing so hard.

"What's so funny?"

Well, chagi is Korean for dick. Joanie probably did love dick, but I didn't know you could say that during the dinner hour on American television.

ABC took a perfectly good game show and screwed it up with a bunch of B-list celebrities who really didn't want to be there.

Extra bonus on the original show: Anderson Cooper in the role he was born to play- game show host.

by including Tom Arnold in everything. She had a good thing going but became too popular and went wacko. I truly loathed the episodes where the Conner clan won the lottery.

She was at her best during the first couple of seasons. I'd get those seasons on DVD but not much other than that.

.. Reboot, In Search Of... (w. Nimoy) - I also miss MST3K, FYI TV's Frank works for Air America Radio these days, you can occasionally hear him chatting on a show or doing a commercial spot. First time I heard his voice he was doing a commercial on AAR for diaper rash cream - it sounded so much like one of the MST3K bumper spoofs it was surreal.

97. All of Marshall Herskovitz's shows
thirtysomething, My So-called Life, and Once and Again. I cried my eyes out at the end of Once and Again.

I loved scary shows: X-Files (although I don't count that one as cancelled, it just ran its course), Millennium, American Gothic.

I was devastated when Firefly was cancelled a couple of years ago. I thought it was great and Fox didn't give it a chance.

Sadly, hour-long dramas are dead on network television. The networks won't wait until they develop an audience. It's three episodes and out. They cost too much to make compared to reality crap, so the only place we'll be able to see quality drama is on pay cable. :(

102. Sable
It ran for about six episodes and was just incredible. The main character, a childrens book writer by day and vigilante by night was one of the most tortured characters I have ever seen. What got me hooked on this show was the first couple of seconds of the first shot. It was just so incredibly filmed I was mesmerized. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the actor who played John Sable, but I do remember Rene Russo played his girlfriend/agent.

Another show I regret losing was "Our Family Honor" about two families who had been fueding for three generations. One family was of Catholic New York cops (the patriarch was the Chief of Detectives) and the other was a mob family.

"Wiseguy." Though it was not the same after the death of the Sonny Steelgrave character.

"Quest," a very gritty and violent western series with Kurt Russell.

It was a really great Sci-FI series - the DVD was one of my best buys ever. I hope the movie will wrap it up, but it certainly deserved at least a complete season.

145. The one, the only, Homicide: Life on the Street. The best damn show ever.
I felt like I died the day that show gave up the ghost. Stupid NBC went and sold all the props so we couldn't hold out hope that it would be back. Frank, Tim, Gee, Lewis, Munch, Bolander, Crosetti, Felton, Kay. SIGH.

Episode that blew me away -- when Kellerman shot Luther Mahoney. I have never in my life been as floored as I was when I saw that episode. Total shock.

So many more to remember. Best show on TV, ever ever ever.

Adena Watson. H:LOTS folk will never forget Adena. sigh, sigh, sigh, sigh, sigh. I gotta go watch my tapes of the show now.

147. There was a show that lasted only one season called "Cupid."
Jeremy Pivens, a great underrated actor, starred as Cupid.

Zeus sent him back to earth as punishment, because love was in terrible shape.

He could not return to Olympus until he got 100 couples to fall in love.

He had a court appointed psychiatrist who was his Psyche.

I think the show was too clever to last. The jokes were too intelligent.

I really miss that show.

Of course, I loved Homicide: life on the streets. But at least it was around for awhile!
