Poll question: Best Stone Temple Pilots song?
Hopefully, I'm not the only person here who likes them.

Yes, I know "Plush" isn't an option; this reflects what I think their best ones are, and I was never really impressed with that song.

5. lol... yep..
still remembering when a Seattle DJ was interviewing their guitar player, and he asked him how he felt about people that called them "Stone Gossard Pirates"... and the guitar player just said"F**k off" and hung up... I wished I was there so I could tell him "hey, dude, you do sound like them... here's a quarter, go buy yourself a sense of humor"... anyway, my real vote is "Dead and Bloated"..

8. I love STP
I voted "other" 'cuz I can't decide. It would be either Dead & Bloated, Atlanta, or Hello, It's Late.

9. I've always liked STP
I have all their CD's. "Interstate Love Song" is my favorite song of theirs. Too bad Weiland can't keep his act together ;-(.

12. Hollywood Bitch or Crackerman
fuck, pretty much the only song I don't like is Plush. Never have liked it.

I used to run a stp fansite www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Club/9221

I haven't updated it in years! I don't even know if it's still up!

13. Almost put Hollywood Bitch up there
And you definitely need to get that site updated (yes, it's still there, the last "News" item is from 8/2000).

14. Another vote for Crackerman!
One of my all-time faves, especially with "Wet My Bed" or whatever it it's called right before it on the cd.

15. write in vote for Too Cool Queenie
"Sour Girl" is my second favorite. That one has a retro-vibe. I don't think Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots are that similar - they're just both in alt-rock. Anytime you get two bands in the same genre, similarities are likely to be noticed. I think Scott Weiland belts out choruses differently (in fact in his own unique way,) and STP is less interested in textures. In fact, All Music Guide calls it stadium rock.

It's such a pretty song. I guess my next faves would be ILS and Wonderful.

19. grrrr
Its modern rock, not alt-rock.

Pet peeve of mine, hope you understand.

Anyways, I love them all, but Interstate Love Song just has a hold on me. I never tire of that song.

21. Alt-rock gives a feel for the bands that came out at the time
I also prefer modern rock for them, but I was making a point.
