anyone have any experience with Lingo or Vonage

I have just about had it with my local phone co...they are a hard core monopoly here and are pretty much my only choice unless I go a little less 'main-stream'. Has anyone here had experience that they are willing to share with Internet Phone Service from a company like Lingo or Vonage?

No experience with Lingo or Vonage, but my wife and I switched our local phone service several years ago from US West (easily the worst phone company ever) to New Access Commuinications. No complaints whatsoever.

2. I have looked into other companies

but none of them 'service that area'...that area would be the area near my home...IP Phone is about my only other option...

3. I use Vonage and enjoy it's flexibility.

I receive voice messages as attachments to my emails. I can take my phone (modem) with me when I travel. Price is reasonable. Call quality is slightly less than land lines, but not bad or distracting to me. It's usually just fine. I've had no complaints.
