Happy, happy! Joy, joy!!!!

OMG! A godsend fell into my lap today. A low-income apartment finally became available. I go Monday to pay my $15 credit check. I'll be saving $250 a month, which is a huge, huge deal for me.

As of now, I get $790 a month disability and pay $430 rent. After bills, I usually have no more than $100 left--usually a lot less.

My rent at the new place--if I get it (please, please!!!)--will be about $176 a month.

I won't be rich by any stretch of the imagination, but it will take some of the pressure off.

I am so happy for you Ladyhawk you deserve a nice place to live and that extra money will come in handy each month.Ladydemocrat/Corarose lives in a high rise in Chicago that is owned by habitat and she pays less then you for a small apartment that rents for $1,200.00 a month without the rent reduction.
