St. Louis gets Larry Walker; Here Come the Cardinals!
Although he's only had 100 at-bats since coming back from injury, he had big numbers the last two seasons.

There's a great article in today's NY Times about the Cardinals "new Murderer's Row" of Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds. Now add Larry Walker.

As Harry Carey used to sing when the team was going well "The Cardinals are coming, Tra-La, Tra-La"

2. Well unless by some miracle the orioles make the playoffs
I'll be rooting for y'all. I like St. Louis, and my grandparents on my dad's side lived there for a while while he worked for the NLRB and its home to one of my political faves as well.

4. After the St. Louis Browns became the Baltimore Orioles...
lots of people here adopted them as their favorite AL team and still root for the O's.

7. very cool
Cards have good fans I tell you that much. Even if the infamous moran is a cardinal's fan, I like the cards, them the giants and pirates have been amongst my favorite national league teams. BTW good job on coming out of nowhere to become the best team in the majors, heh I bet the sportswriters regret puttting the cubs or astros in first now eh.

5. Yep, he nixed deals to Dallas and Miami
But he waived his no-trade clause to join the Cardinals.

6. Funny...
I recall hearing something about the July 31st "Trading Deadline".

What a mockery.

I'd love to see a Cardinals/Yankees World Series.

8. a remix of the 1964 series I hope
in which the cardinals break the yankee's hearts, then the yankees begin to decline. Remember the cardinals arent a cursed team, so we can trust them better than the red sox or cubs heh.
