I need Wine/Champagne advice for November 2 celebration!
Ok all you wine/champagne experts!

I need to buy a bottle of champagne to celebrate our victory on November 2.

Any suggestions? Year? Brand?

I would like something good, because after all this will be a joyous occasion so a cap of $250 should be enough.

Thanks in advance! :D

2. Veuve Cliquot.....................
my fave, a little pricy ($40-$50 a bottle) but lot's cheaper than Dom and just as good in my opinion.

6. I second the vote for Veuve Cliquot - orange label
There's no need to spend $250 when $30 will do!

Cheers :toast:

3. Well, as it is our election day, I would suggest an American bottle.
Yes, a good Champagne is the best; but save that for a less-U.S.-centric occasion. If you want some bubbly, I suggest anything by Schramsberg. Their sparklers are every bit as good as most Champagnes, and not too hard on the wallet.

Another good choice for an American sparkling wine is Domaine Chandon -- a California winery, but it's owned by the Moet-Chandon folks from Champagne. Same goes for Roederer Estates, Roederer's venture in the new world.

Best of luck, and happy drinking!

8. Iron Horse . . .
. . . for a good, moderately priced, and somewhat obscure California product.
