Theory about stupid DU posting

I've got this theory that the closer that DUers come to one-thousand posts, the stupider their posts become.

Once they're in the ballpark of, oh...let's say 985 posts, it's not a pretty sight. They'll start posting all kinds of crap. But at least you are astute enough to have come up with that theory.

I think 'stupider' is a weak comparison and assumes a rather linear, monotonic (not to mention monotonous) progression of stupidity through the time-line of the posting process.

I think it would be more productive to consider the question as to when the posts become stupidist since this is likely to involve fewer assumptions about the pattern's chronology and allow the introduction of other possibly pertinent factors.
