A thought that came into my mind because I've been posting and reading so much here this week.

Explanation...partner is "out of town" and I've been bored. I do have a job but I work from home...so I don't have the excuse others of you do for why I can spend time here.

But...I'm thinking this is a sickness...actually some DU'ers have chided me in the past...but they were "trolls" and I didn't listen and don't care what they think...

Still..I wonder why if I'm bored and "partner is out of town" I'm so much here? A Sicko? Groupie..can't get enough of it....YUCK!

I was doing political activist stuff last weekend so I'm not a total looser..but still, is it a sickness? :D

If my life were as I wished, I wouldn't be here so much. I'm doing what I need to do to make life better, so it's not like I'm just trying to whine and not take care of stuff. However, I would much rather be in a happier, more functional and loving relationship, with a more supportive extended family and more compatible friends, and spending more time in the real world during the late evenings I frequently spend here, but that's not reality right now, so I make the best of things as much as possible so I don't want to shot myself in the head when I start thinking about all the stupid mistakes I've made in life, how everyone who's ever claimed to care for me treats or treated me like I'm meaningless shit, and how many little people are counting on me not to fuck up and wreck their lives as well. Sometimes, it's so overwhelming I just don't want to think about it. Like now.

23. Sarah...I have a happy marriage...first and only...an old one...but we all

need something besides Network TV and many of us have moved around and don't connect to those we've left behind in this harsh political world.

I don't EVER DISS the time I've spent on DU...even with those who will diss and trash you there are always new challenges and folks who are "like minded." It always changes.

But, If I have a choice between the "Whore Cables/Networks" I'd rather be here where there's so much diversity but a chance to learn something new. I've been on DU a long time...it's not always the best of what life can offer but it beats TV and if you live in a fundie neighborhood or area of the country because you need to be there because of a job...it's the best.. not without it's problems but diverse. And my post was really to be funny because I'm almost never in the lounge and when I've ventured here, I've been told folks though I should be funny...

My sense of funny is often not what others sense of it is...you can tell because the posts on this thread are all over the place, maybe because I don't post here and folks here don't know how to take me.

Just like in the real world...DU is a University...seems to me..you find your crowd amongst the diversity. It used to be a small high school, grew to a college and now it's a university of thousands.
