2. I agree. Flame me if you want, but it's a remarkable bit of television.
I've never seen a former President of the United States open himself up like this.

4. And I wholeheartedly agree with him. His impeachment was a badge of honor.
And I do hope that history will agree with him.

16. Careful when you listen to the press and right wingers
they are misrepresenting the phrase and context - they will tell you that he considers his affair with Monica a badge of honor. Observe the twist. They ae master twisters.

21. That won't work
It's ridiculous on its face. An affair "a badge of honor"? Please!

22. Oh, History will agree for sure...this was just like Andrew Johnson.
Actually even worse than Andrew Johnson, becuase Clintons was over a sex scandal, ultimatly, while in the case of Johnson the impeachment was over political differences.

But in both cases, the impeachment was clearly politically motivated.

23. Clinton had a laugh at that...
...he seems to be able to laugh at or appreciate stuff like this.

I know he has a temper, but it didnt show on this interview.

6. I kinda regret not having appreicated him more when he was president.

Admittedly, President Clinton did a lot of things that pissed me off. And no, I don't mean his partisan, hate-inspired impeachment. I actually supported the man during that bullshit.

No, I'm talking about the sharp turn to the right that he took following the so-called "Republican Revolution" of 1994. I could give you a dozen examples of what I mean, but I'm guessing you're informed enough to know already.

That's what pissed me off about President Clinton. I felt betrayed, so much so that I voted Green in both the 1996 and 2000 elections.

But even at that, I'd much rather have had a third term of William Jefferson Clinton (or an Al Gore presidency) than that lying, drunken, coke-sniffing, draft-dodging, month-long-vacation-taking piece of shit who stole the White House three-and-a-half years ago.

Here's hoping that Bill Clinton becomes as popular an ex-president as Jimmy Carter!

19. and Kennedy.
Around the world, he is nearly as strong as Kennedy. Kennedy's appeal with the little people of the earth was remarkable. Pictures of K hung in homes that were huts or humble or both.

9. You know, this is definitely a tangent, but Bill has got
beautiful hands. Anyone ever notice that?

I just caught the end of the interview, we had company that lingered waaayyy too long and I finally had to be rude and boot them out the door. Saw just the last bit where Rather showed Bill the tape of his mom, and the end segment on the library... I wish the networks would rerun their programming the way the cable stations do....

11. Warm, charming, real
A man of flaws, but who isn't. A man of great strengths, in sharp contrast with the current resident. He may have fallen down as a husband, however his commitment to his family was so evident. Lesser men like Newtie and Rush could have taken lessons from him about keeping their own marriages together. Bush publically referred to Laura as "Lump in the bed", while Clinton honored Hilary as genuine equal.

Could we elect him President?

14. My neighbor and I were just talking about it
Hes a winger and he talked favorably about him , I almost swallowed my own tongue over that. Clinton did a great thing by doing this. He helped himself by showing that human side.

..he is just damn great !

Talk about charisma!

I really liked the bits in Arkansas, and when he watched that video of his ma.

Also, his discussion of him and Hillary dealing with his Monica thing.
