So I got one wall almost painted and realized I had the wrong paint.
Dang!!! Somehow I ended up with semi-gloss instead of flat.

I think I can just paint over the semi-glass with latex flat, right? The color is great, I just don't want a shiny living room!

1. no- not really
paint will basically slide off if you try to wash it. either primer the wall or lightly sand the wall. my wife sold paint for 5 yrs and she said this is the best thing to do..

I was thinking of that but hadn't researched it yet. I'll get it sanded tonight and repaint in the morning. Damn I just want this project to be done!

2. Semi-gloss is great stuff..
Makes cleaning the walls a breeze.. You might want to reconsider..:)

but I don't have kids and really don't like the shine in the living room. Bathroom and kitchen? No problem.

Really pisses ya' off, huh! And of course, once you realize it, there is no living with the wrong paint, just can't do it, ya' gotta repaint that damn wall!

8. Exactly!
even though other people won't notice or if they do, won't care. I know and it would bug the heck out of me.

It's already sanded.... but I won't paint until morning when I have better light.
