Are there any DU parents with LD kids? Any DUers with a learning disability? (I, too am LD, though not dyslexic.) What has your experience with dealing with your (or your child's) disability been like?

1. Not my personal children.
Only in my classroom, which is a whole different story. Or maybe a novel for each child!

2. Boys tend to have more of all types of developmental
diabilities. My son has Asperger's syndrome ( a high functioning autistic disorder) and my brother is autistic and developmentally delayed. I think autism effects boys something like 5 times more often than girls. I have heard that male fetuses are more susceptible to damage for some reason. There are definitely more LD boys than girls, for whatever reason...
