Ever had embarrasing encounters with past lovers?

Like the time I had to explain to my at-the-time girlfriend whom my ex-trans-friend (girlfriend? boyfriend??) had mistaken for my boyfriend (whom I had met while sleeping with her boyfriend (the girlfriend, not the transfriend)) that I had kidnapped her from her girlfriend but now she (he??) and her boyfriend were getting married so everything was all right.

Or the innumerable times people try to introduce me to a former lover (whom I've known for 20 years and most of the people involved should know that by now) because they think that because we're the same age that we'd be a good match (not realizing, of course, that we're both more into twinks, him especially).

God, the twisted life I live.

1. I once got set up on a blind date with an ex-girlfriend..

We had not parted all that well, but time had dulled the acrimony quite a bit. And, being the evil people that we were (we did have some things in common) we did this whole routine about falling madly in love at first sight that freaked out the couple that set us up. :)

10. OK, here's the long version

Names changed to protect the guilty.

Nobody involved is what you might call "straight". It also involves a community of people involved in short wave radio.

I had been hearing "Lee" on the air for awhile and there was considerable discussion about "Lee"'s gender because Lee was being fairly coy about it. So curiosity got the better of me so I went to the next city to visit Lee (who turned out to be in the middle of a gender change) and Lee's girlfriend (who was rather protective to say the least) but we got her drunk and she passed out and [a whole lotta nasty details edited] which ended up with me running down the hall naked with my clothes and the girlfriend threw my shoes out the window at me so the next night I sorta kidnapped Lee and took Lee over to my place and [a whole lotta nasty details edited] but Lee hated my cooking and went back home to the girlfriend. Now all this was (of course)(why of course? oh nevermind) happening over the air so John invited me over to hear the whole sordid story in person and I ended up spending the night [a whole lotta nasty details edited] but then the phone rang and John's former girlfriend wanted John to come over and bring a lotta booze so John asked if he could bring a friend and it turned out Kim knew me from the air so we went to her house and it was kinda lust at first sight, but we got bored there so we went to the local Freeper bar and the three of us played pool and kept hitting on each other.

Now Kim dresses in work shirts, jeans and combat boots and when she gets loaded she doesn't totally remember which bathroom she's supposed to be using which got the Freepers totally irate and it nearly dissolved into a bar fight so we got out of there and [a whole lotta nasty details edited] and the next day we needed to go to the hardware store to find parts to repair the door (no, I'm not going to explain) and clean up after the fire department (no, I'm not going to explain about that either) and Lee was there buying tiedowns for a transmission tower and Lee mistook Kim for my boyfriend and Kim had heard some of Lee's girlfriend's complaints all over the radio about Lee being kidnapped so I had to explain to Lee about Kim being my girlfriend (even if she was eyeing the men's washroom) and to Kim that the "kidnapping" wasn't exactly what everybody was making it out to be.

So in the end Lee and John dated for awhile after John got out of jail (no I'm not going to explain) and eventually got married and Kim and I got married but she was seeing another radio guy on the side, so we separated and then Ahknaten came along but he wasn't on the radio so he doesn't count.

Any clearer?

4. here's a short synopsis;

right around the time when Bucky Dent ruined the Red Sax dreams with a cheapie over da green monsta.Me,and Jocelyn in my Westfield NJ apartment on a Saturday morning doin what we used to do alot of back then..ahem
OK,so I got dumped by Laura who comes over my apt WITH HER NEW BOYFRIEND and my pal Mike,to see me and Jocelyn haqng in out.So the bathroom is not in my apt and JC goes to powder her nose and keeps on goin out the door w/o tellin anyone.Laura says HAH still getting screwed over by the girls huh?At which time as if on cue there's a knock on the door and Tracy shows up with her brand new ragtop and we take off leaving my gutarist Mike and his sister Laura and her new boyfriend with mouths agape-embarassing?no but still one of those you never forget

6. Embarrassing For THEM... But Not For Me.

8. My head is spinning Trog.

My ex (T) and I had just broken up.

But before we'd broken up, one night we'd gone over to a friend of his' (R)apartment and hung out. Friend and I hit it off really well. He came over to T's place a couple times efore the breakup, and we always got along really well. Plus, I thought he was cute. I think it was mutual.

About 2 or 3 weeks after the breakup, I was checking out all the apartments in Austin (I was finally moving out of my mom's place), so the day that I checked out his I stopped by for a visit. He hadn't heard about T and I. We hung out and ended up...well, you know.

Unfortunately, we had quite a few screwdrivers, and I hadn't eaten much that day. This figures prominently later.

Later, he wanted to go to some mutual friends' place to hang out. We walked in the door, and who should be sitting there but T?! Ha! Sweet revenge!!

R was very sweet to me, and affectionate, and T was seething. I was TOTALLY loving it! Until the screwdrivers REALLY starting having an effect, and I ended up most of the rest of the visit in the bathroom getting sick.

Leave it to me to screw up the revenge scenario that most people only dream about!

R was still very sweet when I came out, and T finally got disgusted and left.

went to one ex-boyfriend's wedding with my then-husband, and at one point looked around the room and realized I'd slept with every guy there. Not all at the same time, though (damn!).
