Now with Reagan's death, I'm sure we'll see more about this crap of taking FDR off the dime and putting Reagan on it.

1. I'm glad someone will fight it without it looking partisan.

2. I've been corresponding with them since the first early discussions
My first inquiry was met with a polite, but obviously uninformed response signaling that they were completely caught off guard initially. I think they were incredulous that a serious attempt was in the offing....

I'm glad they've "gotten off the dime," by now. Part of the problem is so few Americans know the history behind the dime, the polio effort, and FDR's role in this. March of Dimes (and others) simply MUST get out there and let the powers that be know that they are up to one more fight!

3. Damn straight, FDR was put on the dime cause he started the March of Dimes
It would be so wrong, on so many levels, to take his portrait off of it.

5. BTW, I contacted my Congressional delegation months ago....
when this was first discussed (along with MOD)... I received NO response from any of them, including Diana Degette, a liberal Dem congresswoman from Denver. I suspect they weren't taking this seriously either. But, I would urge you to WRITE (not email) your reps. Emails are apparently the very last form of notification that warrants consideration by most of congress...
