... to see what DU is saying about certain things, to report back to Free Republic ... taking names of DUers to quote them ... visiting days frequently high after DimWit & Co. have done something especially stupid or to see responses to certain events ... or if someone like Reagan dies ...

most have a difficulty in blending in ... and blow their cover ...

That would be an example of trolling at the DU boards.

There is also another type of trolling-light that's referred to as "flame bait". It's when someone, usually a fellow DU member, posts something of an extremely sensitive nature to all other members, just to get a screaming contest going. Usually they are along the lines of subjects such as gun control, Reagan, abortion, taxes, Nader, conspiracy theory, welfare reform, etc...
