Weird dream....latent memory?
This is kinda hard to describe. About a year ago I had a vivid kind of dream. In this dream I was in a store and bought a punch on a punchboard. I don't know if anyone is familiar with these things, but they were games of chance that have been around for a long time, but not really during my life time. They were sorta the "lottery" before the lottery was popular. They looked like this:

Anyway, I have no conscious memory of these things. However, in the dream, I knew exactly what it was, how it worked, etc. When I woke up I seemed to be aware of them and sorta catalogued the idea as being just odd and didn't look into it.

So yesterday, I pick my boyfriend up from the airport and he was saying that his aunt had given him a bunch of little keepsakes that she found lying around in old abandoned houses and such in Tennessee. He pulled one of these things out of his bag and said he didn't know what it was. I recognized it right away as a punchboard (apparently for some kind of fraternal club like the Rotary or Eagles or something....can't remember the name right now).

How weird is that? I have to admit that I am intrigued and creeped out a bit over the concept of having knowledge (however useless) that I don't know the origin of.

My only real thought is that my Grandfather ran a general store until I was about 6 years old and that maybe he had one there, but I don't know that these things were still in circulation between 1965 (when I was born) and 1971.

Any thoughts?

2. I keep.... hearing ...this....
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man.
It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... The Twilight Zone.

3. Punchboards are still around in Middle TN
You see them in run-down, out-of-the-way convenience stores in rural areas.

I've had dreams like yours, but I've never been able to ascertain what purpose they might serve.
