Good Morning DU!
How is everyone today? I'm muuuuch better! Didn't take those vitamins yesterday and I actually forced myself to eat so YAY! :) On the bad side, my sort-of-sort-of-not boyfriend doesn't get to come in town this weekend and he's going into the field Tuesday for 12 days! 12 days! So basically, this is gonna suck! :(

How are you???

20. Been revising...
Exams weren't exacactly fun. But hey, now the partying begins.

Although my father's irritating me at the moment. My sister has purloined my car (since I'm not around to drive it) so my father wants to buy me a new car (MG Bee 2, costing around £1500) for over the summer so I can drive myself about the country lanes where I live.

Only problem is that he's recently lost his job and is still looking for a new one. So I told my parents that, since money is short, I don't want the car and will find my own way around thank you very much.

But my father's now pissed off with me because I think that he thinks I'm being rude by rejecting his gift. So summer will now be a political wrangle combined with trying to tell my father I don't want his gifts but I do want £4500 to study for a year on an MSc course in Liverpool.

But apart from that, I'm fine. How are you? How's the soldier? Had to look for any bombs lately?

That sucks, but hopefully your dad will realize that studying that course would benefit you more than a car. Maybe he'll just give you the money to help you out?

Either way, good luck with it. And sorry to hear that he lost his job. Hope he's able to find something soon!

Glad to hear that you're okay. I'm doing pretty good, just trying to keep myself occupied. The soldier's fine. He was in the field for three long days and he is unable to come in this weekend. :( On Tuesday he leaves for the field for 12 more days with no contact. *sniff* I won't get to see him until June 20th, I think. These things suck!

For example, I haven't been on DU for a good few days, and I started getting withdrawal symptoms. I guess I just missed talking to attractive women.

But never mind... on June 20th I guess you can both go on maneuvers and you might even be able to fire his cannon.

38. Men don't have that short a memory
unless it's about anniversaries or birthdays, or stuff like that.
Men normally remember women that they want to see again, and it sounds like he wants to see you again. Especially when they're firing guns...remember, the whole army think is one great big phallus replacement exercise.

There ain't nothing better than taking aim and letting that big ol' puppy fire it's shots!

And, true, politics is not probably the best thing to talk about ("oh yeah, that feels good. mmmm...when do you think Rummy's going to be fired?...oh, a bit to the left...)

.... yeessh, that's an image....

anyway....
but it's important to have good pillow talk. after all, a man will only be interested in a woman as long as the sex is interesting. After that, the woman has to be interesting too. So, frankly, you're set!!

Phone *talking* is great!

There's an old proverb - the perfect wife/woman is a princess in public, a goddess in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom. Believe me, being able to talk dirty down a telephone is a good sign - it show's you're sexually active and aware and know what YOU want.

Kudos to you

54. If women like you end up dating military guys
then I'm willing to forget all my reservations about having a job which involves training to kill someone, and following orders blindly from idiots.

However, I think I'll probably stick to investigating the behaviour of criminals. Less likely to get me in the dock of The Hague.

Not that I'm attacking your soldier friend. I just don't agree with the need for an army...I understand the need, but I guess I'm a conscious objector.

And I understand what you mean about the army. I don't completely agree with everything about it, but it's about giving him my support. He does/puts up with more shit than I would be able to. It's all pretty much about me making him comfortable and him having as little stress from a relationship as possible until he's shipped out again. Sometimes I think I'm too giving.

Believe me I know, it sucks especially when you may not see that person again.

The dream wasn't wierd but they way it ended was wierd, not sure if you want to hear it, but aw here it goes. I'm going to cut the chase, I was on a basketball team for somebody, hell I don't even know. So I start to catch fire and start making shot after shot, I start getting the other team frustraited. So after I made another shot as I am jogging to the other side of the court one of the opposing players on the other team pulls out a gun and shoots me in the back of the leg, what is wierd is when that bullet hit my leg that same second I got a charlie horse in my leg which woke me up. So is there anything I can do for you?

Sometimes it's easy to take what someone says the wrong way in plain text because everything is so.... bleh(can't think of anything else to say) and sometimes the smilies exaggeratte the emotion behind a post. I don't know if this is making any sense. :) I don't really know, maybe it wasn't meant to be. So anything fun or exciting going on today?

I'm pretty much decided on the pants but not sure what kind of shirt to wear, or should I just go out nekkid? I hope it works out, long distance is hard. The jobs that require people to be away from alot usually have the higher divorce rates and then usually isn't because of the people. It's having to deal with the stress of always being away from your spouse. Like I said I hope it works out.

Not going off on you in general - but 49% (or close to it) of marriages end in divorce. I'm soooo sick of hearing these dadblamin things! Why, for once, can we not all be positive about something?!?! Why not work 4 times as hard to make every EFFORT known to man to not let it end up that way? Why can't, for even ONE small second, America PRETEND that fairytale happy endings DO exist?? For the love of ALL that is HOLY! I just want to have my moment without worrying about everything else! I want to be kissed like I'm the only thing that matters. Wait, HE does that. WHY CAN'T I ENJOY IT WITHOUT HAVING TO THINK OF HOW HARD IT WILL BE AND HOW MUCH EVERYTHING IS WORKING AGAINST US?!?!?!?

*steps off soapbox*

73. That makes sense
You see, if I do marry and maybe have kids I want to give them something I never had. A happy home and 2 parents that are always there for them. *sigh* I'm just tired of endless struggle you know what I mean? Thank you for talking to me, I feel somewhat better.

75. No problem.
I want the same exact things. It takes work, but it also takes believing that it CAN happen. Gotta run before long. Have a good day.

48. G'day, Blondie!
Glad to see that you're up and about again. Sorry to hear that your man is going to be incommunicado for almost 2 weeks.

60. Hell yeah!
Long weekends rock! :)

I don't know. That's what I've been asking myself! We had some really bad storms here yesterday - a few tornadoes touched down about 20 minutes away from me. Don't know what mother nature is thinking.

67. Ha. They're nonexistent right now.
Since I haven't been feeling well, all I did yesterday was sleep. But maybe I'll get my butt into gear today? :D

I know, I know. And I'm not getting any closer to winning the challenge. :(

57. Good Morning!
I feel good this morning so I thought I would jump in the thread and say good morning to you. The weekend is almost here, it's sunny and I got enough sleep finally. It's gonna be a good day (unless someone screws with me B-) )
