14. The dolomites in Italy,

it's lovely there - I did a mini tour of northern Italy last summer. A bit in mountains, then Padua & Venice. It was all lovely. Shame I'll not be going back to Italy again.

When a guy says he thinks you're good looking, do you believe he thinks you're just a vacuous shell? That all you are is good looks and nothing more?

You can tell by the way you're treated if there's more. If you can discuss others things, then obviously that's not the case. If all they talk about is your boob size (I actually had a boyfriend like this very briefly when I was about 17 and I was smart enough to ditch him quickly), then you know they really don't care what's on the inside.

Attraction, sexuality, and the like ARE important, but for anything meaningful, there's so much more you need in addition to that in a relationship. I've never been the "casual sex" type and I doubt I ever could be, so maybe if I were, I'd feel differently. (Not that I'm being judgemental, I just know what my emotions can and can't handle.)

That being said, compliments as a whole are always nice.

I suppose I think the same way... looking back I can't think of a relationship that began without it. This may, in fact, make me a shallow person. But hardly unique. :)

19. You're not shallow at all

You'd only be shallow if that were the ONLY reason you liked someone. For example, there may be men here who think Ann Coulter or Laura Ingraham are physically attractive, but what else would there be (aside form the the Carville-Matalin type sparring excitement)? Initially, there has to be something and chemistry is very important. I'm just trying to say it can't be the only thing for something to actually work.

On the flip side, I'd rather be with a man with more average looks that had it going on in other ways (brains, sensitive person, etc.) than a plastic Adonis by far. With few exemptions that's where I've always gone.
