I just saw a Dennis Miller promo
And not even the promo was funny. Is that the best they've got?

2. Miller made a genuine statement recently.
He read a news story how people with a sense of humor live longer.

He then said that he and his staff will all be dead soon.

3. I'm really starting to think this whole RW thing is an act...
The guy's career was seriously waning, gets fired from Monday Nigh Football, and then all of a sudden is some big puke. It's a totally untapped audience, and he jumped on it, and 'resurrected' his career. ( well, he certainly resurrected his bank account off those chumps.)

The reason it might be an act, though, is that I cannot find one single donation he's made to a puke. Not one. Any liberal star who is even half as outspoken when it comes to politics as he is makes dozens of contributions every year.

I don't know, maybe I'm not searching correctly?

6. His type of humor.....................
just doesn't hit the mark with most of the Reich-wing nuts that comprise his audience. They have no idea what he's talking about most of the time, and even if they can glean a few words here and there, most are humorless Bushbots incapable of laughter.
Dennis is headed for the scrapheap of washed up Comedians and will soon be doing stand up in bars in such exotic places as Boise, Idaho and Toad Suck, Arkansas.

7. If you are offended ,don't watch.
I quit TV years ago. I have no idea why people post this drivel. If you don't like it,stop telling me about it.
Watch as you will, but I really don't care about anything on TV.

12. If you want the poster to be quiet, why are you making so much noise?
Maybe we don't want to hear about what you don't want to hear about.

8. Miller is just pathetic.
Even if, God forbid, I was a right winger, Miller STILL wouldn't be funny. He does this tired "people in the news" retread from his old HBO show, which even then wasn't funny, some truly sophmoric jabs at Kerry, and he pants slavishly over Bush (Miller said on one of his shows that he thought that Bush was a great President, and that he admired him).

Miller has a chimp on his show cavorting on the set. That says it all, I think. :-)

9. It's kind of sad, though...
He used to be a pretty sharp wit. In true satirical tradition, he'd make fun of the left and the right. Anybody who acted foolish or self-righteous was pretty much in his crosshairs. Look at some of the old concert video ("Black & White" was one).

It's a damned shame to see a talented guy just "give up" on his career so he can pick up a paycheck.
