3. Is Henry better with Black Flag?
Or better solo (Rollins Band)?

6. Better with Black Flag, definitely
I like his spoken word, but I could never get into the rollins band. His vocals just never seemed to synch with the style of music they played.

12. I write poetry, and I have two or three books of Rollins' stuff.
When I was in grad school at Florida State, Rollins came to campus to perform some spoken-word. I wanted to go, but the show sold out before I could finally get up off my butt and buy a ticket.

You are right about not being able to get into Rollins Band. I bought what I think was their second or third album -- forget the title, though (most of my cassettes are in storage) -- as my introduction to Henry Rollins in particular and punk in general. Big mistake. It was just too dense aurally for me. I should have just started with Black Flag and gone from there.

17. Maybe
http://www.sstsuperstore.com

Merged with Cruz records. Still apparently releases new stuff.

A great place to get those classic 1980's tunes, though.

I thought it was the legal fallout from a Negativland album that did them in. Did a note-for-note parody of a U2 album. U2's label did not find it funny.
