1. Rhapsody.com
I've been listening to Pink Floyd's "Saucerfull of Secrets" lately, so I've got an oldies fix as well. Also, Moody Blues "Days of Future Passed" has been in heavy rotation as well.

8. I'm with you, Linc.
Been listening to them on my car radio off and on for their whole 20 years. It's a sad week for Mr. Nownow and me, we've always listened to them, both on the radio and streaming on the Internet.

I'm listening to the new Blondie CD. The Curse Of Blondie. It's okay, not their best.

6. Does it have "A Girl Named Sandoz" on it?
I got it on a double-lp anthology of the Animals long ago....

Just got "The Story of the Kinks". Very good.

Now if I could only find a good Yardbirds anthology, my '60d Brit-rock experience would be complete

20. it has
It's got

House of the rising sun
I'm crying
Baby, let em take you home
around and around
talking about you
Don't let me be misunderstood
Boom boom
Dimples
We gotta get out of this place
I'm in love again
Bury my body
Gonna send you back to walker
stoy of bo-didley
It's my life
Bring it on home to me

It's missing skypilot, and when I was young...but other than that it's pretty good

23. Yep! It's the CD reissue of their original "greatest hits" LP.
Came out around '66 or '67, hence none of the Animals' later stuff.

19. I got four today
Here they are:

Loretta Lynn - Van Lear Rose: classic Loretta!

Sarah Harmer - All Of Our Names: runs out of steam towards the end, but a good CD. I didn't like her before this CD.

Penelope Houston - The Pale Green Girl: likely to be in my top 10 of the year - excellent!

Badfinger - Very Best Of: they are more pop/rock than power pop as a whole, but I still loved the CD. Not quite the Beatles, but a band that deserves to be recognized a lot more.

25. A Net friend who knows my musical tastes just mailed me a CD reissue...
...of the 1988 album TOOTS IN MEMPHIS, for which Jamaican reggae star Frederick "Toots" Hibbert (formerly of Toots and the Maytals) went to Tennessee to record 10 covers of '60s and '70s deep soul classics.

And I don't mind telling you, it's a fantastic album! Let's just say, if Otis Redding were a foot shorter and from Jamaica, he'd have been Toots Hibbert.
